Mussoorie is 295–310 km from Delhi by road — a 5.5–6.5 hour drive via the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, NH-334, Haridwar, and Dehradun (then 35 km climb to Mussoorie).

Route: Delhi → Mussoorie

Delhi → Meerut Expressway → Muzaffarnagar → Roorkee → Haridwar → Rishikesh bypass → Dehradun → Mussoorie.

The last 35 km from Dehradun to Mussoorie is a steep, winding mountain road — beautiful but adds 45–60 minutes.

Mussoorie — Queen of the Hills

At 2,005m, Mussoorie was one of the first hill stations established by the British in 1826. Key highlights:

  • Mall Road: 3 km long shopping and strolling boulevard
  • Gun Hill: Second highest point (2,122m) — ropeway ₹150 return — panoramic Himalayan views
  • Kempty Falls: 15 km from Mussoorie — multi-tiered waterfall, very popular
  • Lal Tibba: Highest point in Mussoorie — telescope views of Badrinath and Kedarnath peaks on clear days

Mussoorie + Dehradun Combo

Mussoorie and Dehradun together make the perfect 2-day trip. Stay in Mussoorie, day-trip to Dehradun's Robber's Cave and FRI, return via Rishikesh or Haridwar.
