8. Nidhivan — The Sacred Grove

Nidhivan is one of Vrindavan's most mysterious and sacred spots — an ancient dense grove of intertwined trees where, according to local belief, Krishna performs the Raas Lila (divine dance with the gopis) every night. The grove is strictly closed to all humans after 5:30 PM — the mahant (temple priest) is the last to leave and the last to enter in the morning. Animals (monkeys, birds, dogs) reportedly do not stay inside after dark.
